A humble beginning, UUSI was established back in 2004 by Beny, Tammy and Their son Brandon Puentes with Two trucks, a trailer and a shoestring budget. This small company worked an assortment of projects as a subcontractor for many established companies doing work for FPL and quickly made a name for itself as a " Can Do Company " Many of these jobs worked and completed were categorized as " Impossible To Do" or needed a "Certain Type Of Skillset." Most times these jobs had to do with paper in Lead Cable or CLX Submarine Cable, Manholes, Vaults, Feeder Cable as well as Trouble Shooting and Repairs.

Through hard work, dedication and determination which are all principles and the foundation that UUSI was built on, the company received it's first FPL contract in 2005 on the west coast of Florida and moved the company's operation from Loxahatchee, Florida to Sarasota, Florida with (7) empolyee's, 4 Trucks, Trailers and some Specialized Equipment.
Present Day, UUSI has grown by leaps and bounds at a rapid rate. UUSI moved to it's new location on Clark Rd in Sarasota' Florida in 2016. The UUSI compound houses a Full Operations Building and Classroom, Outdoor Training yard which is used by Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. West coast Apprenticeship Lineman Program (ABCI). UUSI also has an Enclosed Warehouse Facility with Two Mechanics Bays and Mechanics Maintenance Pit. This is operated by a Fleet Supervisor and Lead Fabricators with (4) Full time Mechanics and yard Helpers. UUSI takes pride in being a true turnkey company which uses zero subcontractors. UUSI currently has two (5) Man Directional Bore Teams and is slated to start a third team by the end of the year 2019. To date our current management area is on FPL's property is approximately 250 square miles including Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Desoto and Lee Counties. The areas increased construction demand and growing communities has currently elevated the UUSI Workforce to a respectable (60+) empolyees.
